Lanakila is an internationally respected competitive Outrigger Canoe Club that was started in 1970. It is located in Redondo Beach King Harbor, in the city of Los Angeles. It is a non-profit organization that actively participates in local community and corporate team building events. The coaching program is a 5 month commitment, with a minimum of 8 hours per week. Coaches train new members with very diverse backgrounds and athletic abilities including – business owners, teachers, home makers, lawyers, firefighters, etc. No experience is necessary to join and everyone from 10 years old and older are welcomed.
